The melodic minor scale has two forms: ascending and descending. For the ascending scale, raise the sixth and
seventh degrees. For the descending scale, restore the sixth and seventh degrees to the natural minor. You know the
drill. For each form, make sure you memorize the fingering, practice the sequence drills and play through the target
keys (full position melodic minor). For each target key, make sure that you can write out (letter names) the
corresponding melodic minor scale (ascending and descending). Let's start with F# melodic minor. Target keys
(Minor): F#, G, G#, A.
