In this sequence, you will be working on basic triads and their inversions. As always, take your time. The point is to think your way around
on the fingerboard. Major triads are constructed using the root, third, and fifth degrees of the major scale. Minor triads are formed by the root,
the flatted third (using the major scale as reference) and the fifth degrees. Diminished triads are made up of the root, the flatted third, and the
flatted fifth degrees. Augmented triads are composed of the root, the third and the augmented (#) fifth degrees of the root tone's major scale.
Triads are the building blocks of Western music and should be carefully studied. Note: depending on your level of experience and comfort with
the names of the notes on the fretboard, the following sequence of exercises may take some time to get, though. That is perfectly fine. If it means
that you only work with one or two target keys a day, great! Just do not move on until you have dealt with all of the keys in each
sequence. The basic finger form for this triad relates to A major (open position).
