First Inversion Triads - This form is related to E major in the open position. This time, the root is on the first string. For all string sets, the root will
be in the highest voice, the third in the bass and the fifth in the middle. "Take Care of Business": 1. Memorize location of the triad degrees (by
string/finger). 2. Play the first inversion triads (String Set 1, all qualities) in all twelve keys. Start with G major, and play through the cycle of
fourths. Spell each chord aloud as you play. For these exercises, always play the chord tones from the root to the fifth, no matter what inversion.
